Taking measures to reduce dropped objects incidents is a good practice in every overhead work environment. That’s why ÌÇÐÄlogoÃ×·ÆÍÃstrives to provide absolute testing certainty by delivering accurate and reliable results for dropped object prevention devices by testing to the American National Standard ANSI/ISEA 121-2018.
Working at height presents numerous hazards, and the issue of falling objects is one of the leading causes of injuries to personnel and other individuals at lower levels. Our laboratories provide expert testing of a variety of dropped object prevention equipment, from tool pouches to safety vests, to give you the confidence that they are reliable and can cope in the real world.
ANSI/ISEA 121-2018
Developed by the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) and adopted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the new dropped object standard addresses equipment used to tether and contain hand tools, instrumentation, small parts, components, and other objects that may fall during at-heights work in industrial and occupational settings.
It is a voluntary standard that provides manufacturers of dropped objects equipment with guidance and testing criteria in an effort to protect workers from the dangers they face when working at height.
Fast, accurate ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 Testing
ÌÇÐÄlogoÃ×·ÆÍÃprovides testing to the ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 standard with a test weight equal to the capacity of the device and a 20 ft. drop height. To perform the test, we statically load the product above its rated working limit and dynamically test above the rated working limit by attaching weights to the product with a rigid test setup and then dropping the weight.
Comprehensive dropped objects testing services
We provide testing to the ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 dropped objects standard as well as other experimental testing such as destructive tensile testing to establish a static breaking strength of the product. Additionally, we have dedicated experts for load testing, drop testing, and impact testing, making us your single-source provider for all of your tool lanyard testing needs.
